The journey offers dramatic landscapes, deep gorges, waterfalls, and views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Marpha is a traditional Thakali village, famous for apple orchards, stone-paved streets, monasteries, and peaceful Himalayan lifestyle. After visiting and exploring the temple area, proceed further towards Ghami, covering a total distance of approximately 90–110 km in 6–7 hours through the Kali Gandaki Valley and high Himalayan landscapes. As you travel northwards, the scenery gradually changes from green valleys to the dramatic trans-Himalayan terrain of Upper Mustang, featuring dry desert-like landscapes, red cliffs, ancient caves, and traditional Tibetan-influenced villages. Upon arrival in Ghami, a peaceful settlement in the heart of Mustang, you will experience the unique high-altitude environment and authentic local culture.
Depart from Ghami and continue your journey towards Lo Manthang (3,840 m), covering approximately 35–40 km in 4–5 hours through the remote landscapes of Upper Mustang.
